Murcia is province situated at the south-east corner of the Iberian Peninsula between the regions of Andalusia & Valencia occupying an area of 11,317 km2 attributing to approx. 2.2% of the total surface area of Spain - making it the ninth largest of the Spanish autonomous communities

Enjoying a sub tropical climate - Murcia enjoys over 2850 hours of sunshine a year, with an average annual temperature of 18 degrees Celsius, with hot summers registering anything upto 40 degrees, with mild winters with average temperatures of 11 degrees

With just over 170km of coastline, Murcia has a variety of small beaches & coves alternating with craggy rocks and cliffs. The famed La Manga or "the sleeve" is one of the geographical wonders found in the region of Murcia - a coastal strip of land, which bar a few connecting channels, completely closes off the Mar Menor lagoon from the Mediterranean sea

Murcia also has some of the most interesting mountainous zones with the highest point being the Revolcadpres massif (2027m). All of these zones offer something unique, and boast some of the most important forested areas consisting of pine trees. Not only that but areas such as Jumilla & Yecla are high plateaus awash with vineyards offering some of the finest wines in Spain. With Calasparra and other surrounding areas such as Moratalla offering a wide range of agricultural produce
